UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITES TOUR
DAY 1 - Welcome to Lisbon
- Morning: Arrival to Lisbon Airport Easy Transportation to ( 20 minutes) from the airport to our hotel. Pestana Sintra Golf, A 4 -star hotel located in Quinta da Beloura in Sintra, a luxurious area with an 18- hole golf course
You can relax at the hotel and nearby cafes. Sintra has a beautiful Centro Histórico. - Lunch: On your own
- Afternoon: Pickleball courts will be available for optional play.
- Dinner: On your own. The hotel has an amazing restaurant if you choose to stay in.
DAY 2 Sintra
- Breakfast: At the hotel restaurant
- Morning: We go to the pickleball courts for three hours.
- Lunch: On your own at the hotel or one of many local restaurants.
- Afternoon: We explore Sintra Old Town, where you can find an abundance of small alleyways, shops and inviting restaurants. With cobblestone streets, old-world buildings and a vibrant atmosphere, we will visit the National Palace of Sintra. The Palace origins stem from 1147.
- Dinner: We will get together for a Bem—vindo dinner
DAY 3 Lisbon
- Breakfast: At the hotel restaurant
- Morning: After breakfast we go to a day trip to Lisbon. Lisbon has everything from centuries-old European city, cobblestone streets, and Medieval castles. Our tour will take us to Museum of Fado
- Lunch: on your own at local restaurant
- Afternoon: Free time to shop and enjoy. We return to Sintra in the evening.
- Dinner: On your own We could stay in Lisbon or return to Sintra for dinner.
DAY 4 Pickleball and Lisbon
- Breakfast: At the hotel restaurant
- Morning: We go play pickleball for three hours.
- Lunch: After Pickleball, we go back to Lisbon for more adventures. Then, you ae at your leisure to explore and savor different food and drink.
- Dinner: Tables are reserved for a Fado evening. Portuguese dance and music experience.
DAY 5 Coimbra and Porto Day
UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE
- Breakfast: At the hotel restaurant
- Morning: After Breakfast. we will ride into the past as we discover Coimbra. The former capital is home to a preserved medieval old town and the historic University of Coimbra. In the city’s old town lies the 12th century Romanesque cathedral Se Velha. Then, to Porto, the coastal city northwest known for its bridges and Port wines. - Another UNESCO World Heritage Site.
- Lunch: As we travel
- Dinner: Fado Concert with wine, On your Own
DAY 6. SINTRA
- Breakfast: At the hotel restaurant
- Morning: We go to the Pickleball courts for three hours of playing.
- Lunch: On your own After pickleball, we will go to the Metcados Municipais Estefania Food Hall in Sintra. Free time to explore, shop and enjoy
- Dinner: On your own
DAY 7. Evora Day trip
UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE
- Breakfast: At the hotel restaurant
- Morning: We head out South to Evora, Alentejo Region. Evora described as “2,000 years of history in 20 paces” is a must see stop. The architecture inside this beautiful walled town,
includes Roman, Gothic, and Baroque styles. We will visit the Roman Temple dedicated to Augustus, the Capela do Calvario at the Church of San Francisco for its carvings, and the chapel of Bones.
DAY 8 Sintra
Departure Day
- Breakfast: At the hotel restaurant
- Morning: After breakfast, early departures, trip to Lisbon Airport.
- For ones having a late departure, a last minute pickleball game or just relaxing until time for Lisbon Airport departure.
